“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” -Aaron Siskind
My biggest passion is photography. I primarily work with black and white photographs. I believe a photo in black and white expresses more emotion, and brings more meaning into a picture.
In the slide show above, I have put up some of my stronger current images. I the first four, I took them at the Kansas State Fair back in September. I wanted to capture the emotion on people’s faces. I wanted memories of being at the fair to come back into the minds of my audience.
In the next two photos, I wanted to capture a more soft look. I wanted the shoot to be fun yet elegant.
The photo of the hands in water is one of my favorite photographs. I was doing a photo excercise in class, and I could not believe the shot that came out. This particular photograph was accepted in a five-state photography competition. Only 25% of all photographs that were entered, made it to the gallery.
The last photograph was also just good timing at a train station in Chicago. My friends were just having a good time, and joking around, and I took this photograph.
